Farm & Retreat · Sequim, Washington
Open Fri–Sun • May – September
In 1997, a bold experiment on Marine Drive — originally called Olympic Lavender — planted the seeds for what would become the Lavender Capital of North America. Now under new ownership as Lit Lavender, we're carrying that pioneering spirit forward with fresh energy — inviting you to stay among the rows, breathe in the fragrance, and experience the next chapter of something magical.
Mini golf, axe throwing, giant games, farm animals — and lavender everywhere
Our 18-hole farm-themed course winds through the gardens with shade sails, water features, and views of the lavender fields. Fun for all ages — and the most unique round you'll ever play.
Test your aim at our outdoor throwing lanes. A hit with visitors of all skill levels.
Giant Connect Four, cornhole, and more under the shade sails. Grab a treat from the farm shop and play all afternoon.
Meet Puzzles, Bambi, and our free-roaming chickens. Always ready for visitors and photo ops.
Watch live lavender distillation on our copper still and sample fresh lavender-infused treats.
More than a farm — a destination
Cozy cabins and yurts nestled on the farm. Wake up to mountain views and the scent of lavender — available on Airbnb.
Wander the rows and cut your own bundles of fresh lavender. Over 1,500 mature plants across heritage varieties.
Say “I do” surrounded by endless purple. An unforgettable venue for your most cherished moments.
Handcrafted lavender oils, soaps, candles, and artisan goods. Take a piece of the farm home with you.
Sequim's unique rain shadow microclimate — just 16 inches of rain per year — creates perfect conditions for lavender. Here's what to expect at Lit Lavender throughout the season.
Early Growth. Fields turn green as plants awaken. First buds appear by early June. A peaceful time to visit before the crowds.
Peak Bloom & Festival. The fields explode in purple. Prime time for U-pick, photos, and the annual Sequim Lavender Festival.
Harvest & Late Season. Lavender is harvested and dried. Farm shop stocked with fresh products. Quieter visits with late-season charm.
Nestled in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, Sequim receives only 16 inches of rain per year — less than Los Angeles. This unique microclimate, combined with rich glacial soil and long summer days, creates conditions remarkably similar to Provence, France.
Lavender thrives in well-drained soil with full sun and minimal humidity — exactly what Sequim delivers. Our farm's position on Marine Drive offers ideal south-facing exposure and natural wind protection.
