Dried Lavender Bundle
A bouquet that never asks for water.
A bouquet that never asks for water.
A generous hand-tied bundle of dried lavender stems, cut and barn-dried right here in Sequim. Stand it in a jar, hang it upside down in the kitchen, or crumble the buds as you go — the color holds for a year and the fragrance even longer.

The scent profile
Our own tasting notes, written at the bench — not a lab report. Lavender shifts a little every season, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
“Dry hay and lavender — the smell of the barn in August.”
Joe & Susie · Lit Lavender FarmEvery ingredient, and why it is there
Cut, tied, hung, and nothing else.
Hand-tied lavender stems
Cut and barn-dried in Sequim. No dye, no glycerine, no preservative.
The ritual
Small things, done properly. This is how we use it on the farm.
Stand it dry
A jar or pitcher, no water. Water will rot dried stems.
Or hang it
Upside down from a kitchen beam or a hook. It keeps drying and keeps its shape.
Out of direct sun
Sun is what fades the purple. A bright room is fine; a sunny windowsill is not.
Harvest as you go
Roll a head between your fingers over a bowl and you have buds for a sachet.
Royal Velvet or Super?
We grow two very different lavenders, and picking the wrong one is the most common lavender mistake there is. Here is the short version.
Royal Velvet
Lavandula angustifoliaSweeter, softer, rounder. The one for skin and for winding down.
- Pillows and sleep rituals
- Anything going on skin
- Aromatherapy and unwinding
- Baking and culinary use
Low camphor, honey-floral, almost powdery at the finish. It is the lavender people mean when they say lavender smells calming.
Shop the Royal Velvet oil →Super
Lavandula × intermediaBolder, brighter, more camphorous. The one for cleaning, linens and bug season.
- Laundry and linen closets
- Cleaning sprays and surfaces
- Diffusers and big rooms
- Keeping mosquitoes off the porch
Higher camphor gives it that spa-clean, almost eucalyptus edge — the smell most people picture as classic lavender. It also yields far more oil per plant, which is why it costs less.
Shop the Super oil →This one is made with lavender grown in our own rows. Where we can name the cultivar on the label we do — where a batch draws on both sides of the farm, we say that rather than guess.
