Storms coming off the Pacific dump their water on the peaks and arrive here wrung out — which leaves this valley dry, bright, and cool at night while the rest of western Washington is under cloud. We grow two very different lavenders, and picking the wrong one is the most common lavender mistake there is. Here is the short version.
English lavender
Royal Velvet
Lavandula angustifoliaSweeter, softer, rounder. The one for skin and for winding down.

Answered before you have to ask
Test an inconspicuous corner first, as with any spray. It is a water-based mist and has been fine on everything we own.
Room & Linen if you want one. All three if you want to stop thinking about it — the trio saves you six dollars.
Scale and distance. Most lavender product is blended from bulk oil bought on a commodity market, filled in the thousands. Ours is distilled from our own rows in a copper still on the property and bottled in runs small enough to hand-label in an afternoon. When a batch is gone it is gone until the next harvest.
