Lavender General-Purpose Spray
The everywhere bottle.
The bottle with no rules about where it goes.
The do-anything member of the blue-bottle trio — car seats, gym bags, yoga mats, curtains, closets, cubicles. Same plant-based lavender mist, zero rules about where it goes.
Why lavender grown here smells like this
Sequim sits in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains. Storms coming off the Pacific dump their water on the peaks and arrive here wrung out — which leaves this valley dry, bright, and cool at night while the rest of western Washington is under cloud. It is the same weather logic that made Provence famous for lavender: long sun, low water, cold nights. Lavender answers that kind of season by putting its energy into aromatic oil instead of leaf. That is the whole story of what is in these bottles.
The scent profile
Our own tasting notes, written at the bench — not a lab report. Lavender shifts a little every season, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
“The same clean lavender, at the strength that works on fabric and in cars.”
Joe & Susie · Lit Lavender FarmEvery ingredient, and why it is there
Same plant-based lavender mist. Fewer instructions.
Lavender
Farm-grown, farm-distilled.
Plant-based base
Non-toxic and biodegradable, which matters when you are spraying it on things you sit on.
The ritual
Small things, done properly. This is how we use it on the farm.
Gym bag
Two passes inside the empty bag, zip it, walk away.
Car
Onto the floor mats rather than the dashboard — fabric holds it, vinyl does not.
Yoga mat
Mist and wipe down after practice.
The office
One pass under the desk. Nobody will know why the room got better.
Royal Velvet or Super?
We grow two very different lavenders, and picking the wrong one is the most common lavender mistake there is. Here is the short version.
Royal Velvet
Lavandula angustifoliaSweeter, softer, rounder. The one for skin and for winding down.
- Pillows and sleep rituals
- Anything going on skin
- Aromatherapy and unwinding
- Baking and culinary use
Low camphor, honey-floral, almost powdery at the finish. It is the lavender people mean when they say lavender smells calming.
Shop the Royal Velvet oil →Super
Lavandula × intermediaBolder, brighter, more camphorous. The one for cleaning, linens and bug season.
- Laundry and linen closets
- Cleaning sprays and surfaces
- Diffusers and big rooms
- Keeping mosquitoes off the porch
Higher camphor gives it that spa-clean, almost eucalyptus edge — the smell most people picture as classic lavender. It also yields far more oil per plant, which is why it costs less.
Shop the Super oil →This one is made with lavender grown in our own rows. Where we can name the cultivar on the label we do — where a batch draws on both sides of the farm, we say that rather than guess.
