Sequim sits in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains. Storms coming off the Pacific dump their water on the peaks and arrive here wrung out — which leaves this valley dry, bright, and cool at night while the rest of western Washington is under cloud. Answered before you have to ask
Barely. Coconut oil goes on with a slight sheen and absorbs within a minute or two.
It is an oil, so treat it like one — apply to skin, let it absorb for a minute before you dress.
It is a cosmetic product diluted for adult skin. For children, babies, or during pregnancy, ask your own doctor first — we are lavender farmers, not clinicians.
Scale and distance. Most lavender product is blended from bulk oil bought on a commodity market, filled in the thousands. Ours is distilled from our own rows in a copper still on the property and bottled in runs small enough to hand-label in an afternoon. When a batch is gone it is gone until the next harvest.
